The Little Miami Bike Trail is arguably the best-known "Rails To Trails" bike trail in Southwest Ohio.
The 70 plus mile bike trail begins west of the bridge in Old Milford, following the original route that the Little Miami Railroad ran in 1937.
It has since been paved and is lined with beautiful forests, fields and mostly follows along the Little Miami River. Ride your bike, roller blade, run or walk. Just make sure to pack refreshments and make a day of it.
The Little Miami Bike Trail opened in 1984 with the help of Chamber member Little Miami, Inc., on the abandoned railroad right-of-way through Loveland. The Little Miami State Park is located within the beautiful and historic Little Miami River Valley, a designated federal and state scenic river, which incorporates the trail corridor. The corridor from Milford to Morrow is part of over 70 miles of bike trails in Ohio, owned by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. It offers numerous recreational pursuits – bicycling, hiking, cross-country skiing, rollerblading, backpacking, horseback riding, and access to canoeing the Little Miami River. Be sure to visit the LMI Scenic River and Trail Center when you're in Loveland.
