Traveling South: Before you get to the Grandin rd intersection you may notice old buildings and foundations (top left). These were buildings where employees of the Peters Cartridge Factory would assemble bullets. They used gun powder in the process of making them. I've heard stories that every once in a while one would blow up.
Also from this location during the summer months you may sounds coming from Kings Island. The amusement park is located up King Ave, on Kings Island Drive. If you choose to go UP King Ave, you will be challenged by a pretty good sized hill which has a tight "S" curve design. I have seen more than on truck and trailer stuck trying to make this hill. In fact since the picture (middle left) they have installed concrete lane dividers to stop large trucks.
Bottom Right: is the smoke stack from the large furnaces used to melt the metal. The other building is the shot tower. They would spray the metal out the top and it would cool on the way down to pellet sized balls.
The facility has been vacant for fifty plus years. But is available for Lease.
